Days 1 Arrival Delhi Arrive at New Delhi International airport. Please clear immigration and visa formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the arrival lounge through the green channel if you do not have goods to be declared to customs. Castle and King India executive will wait at the arrival with a placard in your name to greet you. Thereafter you will be assisted with a transfer and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at The Oberoi Delhi. Days 2 Delhi Sightseeing After breakfast, in New Delhi, you can pay a visit to the Qutub Complex to travel back to the time of the beginnings of Islamic rule in Delhi. From there, you can move on to British Delhi, to cover monuments that reflect the spirit of independent India - the President-s House, Parliament House and India Gate. After lunch in Old Delhi, you will see the Red Fort, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1638 of the Mughal Dynasty. Opposite the Red fort is the Jama Masjid, the mosque also built by Shah Jahan and is the largest in India. After that, you can go for a popular Bazaar Walk in Old Delhi. It will take you to the busy and lively Chandni Chowk area. Do have a fun Cycle rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk. Overnight stay at The Oberoi Delhi. Days 3 Delhi to Agra (By Road) After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel transfer to Agra. Reach Agra and check into hotel. Agra the home of India's most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal. A poem of white marble, the Taj is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love. Later in the afternoon proceed to visit Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, which is a mixture of the Islamic and Hindu styles of architecture. Next visit Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb; nicknamed as baby Taj; another fine example of Mughal architecture. Overnight stay at The Oberoi Amar Vilas Agra. Days 4 Agra to Jaipur (By Road - 265 Kms, 5 Hours) Enroute visit Fatehpur-Sikri Early morning visit to Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays), a UNESCO Heritage Site, to catch the sun rising over the Taj Mahal – undisputedly one of the world’s most beautiful buildings. In the soft morning light, as the mist rises from the Yamuna River, it seems to float like a mirage above the surrounding landscape. Built from dazzling marble, its colour changes from white to yellow, cream and to almost orange… an exquisite image that you’ll remember forever. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later transfer to Pink City Jaipur. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The perfectly preserved red sandstone buildings consist of palaces, courtyards, a life-size chess board, tombs and mosques.Visit the Diwan-e-Khaswith its remarkable central pillar. Also unmissable is Panch Mahal, the five storied structure used as the viewing station for the harem. After visiting continue travel to Jaipur. Reach Jaipur and transfer to hotel. Jaipur the first planned city of India is a treasure-trove of culture, art and history, famous for its colour, life style and Rajasthani cuisine. It is a city exuding royal heritage and extravagant richness. The historic city also has many temples and shrines. Overnight stay at The Oberoi Raj Vilas Jaipur. Days 5 Jaipur Sightseeing After breakfast, you will visit Amber Fort. The Amber Fort is cuddled in elegant and craggy hills. It represents a fascinating mix of Hindu and Mughal architecture. The fort is made in red sand stone and white marble. Enjoy Elephant Safari here. In afternoon, you will visit City palace. It is located in the middle of the fortified city. Then visit Jantar Mantar (the observatory) and Hawa Mahal. Overnight stay at The Oberoi Raj Vilas Jaipur. Days 6 Jaipur to Jodhpur (By Road, 285 Kms, 5 Hours) Morning transfer to Jodhpur, Set at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. Once the capital of the Marwar state, it was founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha-chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs who claimed to be descendants of Rama - the epic hero of the Ramayana. The massive 15th century AD Mehrangarh Fort looms on the top of a rocky hill, soaring 125 Mts. Above the plains. The city is encompassed by a high wall -10 km long with 8 gates and innumerable bastions. Late in the afternoon, you will pay a visit to Mehrangarh Fort (1459 AD) built by Rao Jodha. Rao Jodha was considered to be the descendent of Lord Rama. In this palace, you can explore various miniature paintings and cradle room. After this, you will pay a visit to Jaswant Thada Memorial. Overnight stay will be at the Hotel. Relax in the hotel and visit the museum of UMAID BHAWAN PALACE. Overnight stay at Taj Umaid Bhawan Jodhpur. Day 7 Jodhpur – Ranakpur Temple - Udaipur (By Road, 285 Kms, 5 Hours) In the morning, you will go for a village safari of the noted BISHNOI VILLAGES. Enjoy a rare glimpse into the rich culture and true essence of India while on a visit here. Abundant wildlife (game only) and memorable moments of the great desert landscape fascinates one while driving along the countryside. Later transfer to Udaipur, en-route visit Ranakpur Jain Temples with intricately carved marble Pillars and Domes. Ranakpur is amongst the five holiest places of the Jain community and exceptional in beauty. Tucked away in a remote valley in the Aravalli ranges, it boasts of one of the largest and most important Jain Temples in the country. After visiting continue to Udaipur, reach and check into hotel. Udaipur, The city of Dawn, Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure lake, hemmed in by the lush hills of the ARAVALLIS. A vision in white drenched in romance and beauty, Udaipur is a fascinating blend of sights, sound and experiences and inspiration for the imagination of poets, painters and writers. Udaipur is the jewel of MEWAR -a kingdom ruled by the Sisodia dynasty for 1200 Years. Relax in the evening. Overnight stay The Oberoi Udai Vilas Udaipur. Day 8 Udaipur After breakfast proceed for guided sightseeing tour and visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Museum, Jag Mandir and Saheliyon-Ki-Bari. We also visit the Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir which is an Indian folk arts museum and has interesting exhibits that include folks dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folks musical instruments, folk deities and paintings followed by a visit too Jag Mandir, a temple dedicated to Lord Jagdish. Enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola, an artificial fresh water lake, created in the year 1362 AD, named after the nearby Picholi village. It is one of the several contiguous lakes, and developed over the last few centuries in and around the famous Udaipur city. The lakes around Udaipur were primarily created by building dams to meet the drinking water and irrigation needs of the city and its neighbourhood. Two islands, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir are located within Pichola Lake, and have been developed with several palaces to provide views of the lake. Conclude your day with a fantastic cultural show at the Bagore-ki-Haveli you might even get up and join in the dancing. Overnight stay The Oberoi Udai Vilas Udaipur. Day 9 Udaipur - Delhi Depart Breakfast at the hotel. Later as per your flight schedule transfer to Udaipur airport to board flight for Delhi, upon arrival in Delhi board onward flight for hometown with sweet memories of India Tour.
