Delhi – Agra: 221 Km 4 Hrs. (Taj Mahal Closed on Friday)

After enjoying a relaxed breakfast, we will proceed further towards Agra, once known as the Seat of the Emperor. After reaching Agra, you will be transferred to your hotel for immediate check-in. After relaxing for a while, we will start exploring the breathtaking attractions of Agra City, which will take you back to the era of the Mughal Empire. First, we will visit Agra Fort, which is an impressive edifice built by Akbar in 1565 AD.  The construction is predominately of red sandstone and houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque.  It is said that Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb and looked across the Yamuna River to the Taj Mahal in the last few days of his life.

Next, you will head towards Itmadullah’s Tomb, which is also known as Baby Taj. It was built between 1622-26 AD by Nur Jahan, the wife of Jahangir, in memory of her father, Ghias-ud-Din-Beg. From its parkland setting, there are wonderful views of the river that you can enjoy. After this, return to the hotel and spend the evening at your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Days 4

Agra – Fathepursikri – Jaipur (245 Km 5 Hrs)

Begin the morning of this day in the best Rajasthan luxury tour packages by exploring the Taj Mahal during the sunrise. Our driver and guide will pick you up from the hotel in the early morning. The beautiful soft light and fewer tourists make this one of the best times to visit the Taj Mahal, which is a testament to love.  Your tour of the Taj Mahal will start as a silent battery van will take you up to the entrance, and once inside, you will be enthralled by the magnificence of this quite remarkable white marble building and its setting.

The Taj Mahal is a UNESCO Heritage Site, and the view of the sun rising over the Taj Mahal is undisputedly one of the world’s most beautiful views to witness. In the soft morning light, as the mist rises from the Yamuna River, it seems to float like a mirage above the surrounding landscape. Built from dazzling marble, its colour changes from white to yellow, cream to almost orange – an exquisite image that you’ll remember forever.

After visiting this breathtaking monument, enjoy your breakfast as soon you will be driving to another destination which is Jaipur – Pink City. Enroute you will stop by Fathepursikri.

Fatehpur Sikri is a deserted, red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16th century.  A visit to this veritable fairytale city is an exhilarating experience on your Rajasthan luxury tour packages. Its ‘ruins’ are in such pristine condition that it’s not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur. Marvel at the Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world built of red and buff sandstone and decorated by carving and inlaying of white and black marble.  An inscription on its central face throws light on Akbar’s religious broad-mindedness.

After soaking in the historical charm, you will continue your journey towards Jaipur in an air-conditioned car. En route, you will explore the Chand Baori (stepwell), which is located in the Abhaneri village. This stepwell was built by King Chanda somewhere in the 9th century and is one of the largest stepwells in the world. Here, you will witness 3,500 narrow steps arranged in perfect symmetry with 13 floors, making it the deepest step-wells.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, which is famously known as the Pink City, because of the abundant use of the Pink sandstone around the city. Jaipur welcomes you with its spirit of Rajputana, magnificent palaces, and exquisite temples. You will be transferred to your hotel and overnight stay at the Hotel.
