It is from here that Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb. Looked across the Yamuna River to the Taj Mahal in the last few days of his life. Following this, the next stop is Itmadullah’s Tomb, which is also known as Baby Taj. It was built between 1622-26 AD by Nur Jahan, the wife of Jahangir, in memory of her father, Ghias-ud-Din-Beg. The Taj Mahal is a UNESCO Heritage Site, and the sun rises over it—undisputedly one of the world’s most beautiful buildings.
