Your North India Tour package with Jaisalmer will begin as soon as you arrive at New Delhi’s International Airport. A Castle & King representative will receive you – please keep a lookout for him as soon as you collect your luggage and walk towards the exit gate. Assistance and transfer in your private air-conditioned car to the hotel, where your room is reserved for immediate check-in. The city of Delhi was built on the banks of the Yamuna River and the history of Delhi dates back more than 3000 years. Indraprastha, according to legends, was the old Capital of Delhi and founded by the Pandavas in the times of the Mahabharata 1500 B.C. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Days 2

Sightseeing Tour of Delhi

After enjoying your breakfast, get ready to explore Old Delhi and New Delhi. A sightseeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; and the Red Fort, once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire. Moreover, there will be a cycle rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk, where you can enjoy the local culture. After lunch, proceed for the half-day tour of New Delhi.

An extensive sightseeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Humayun’s Tomb, a 16th-century monument and the first garden tomb built in the country, and the Qutab Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the tallest brick minaret in the world. The tour would also include a drive along the ceremonial avenue—the Raj path—past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, and the President’s Residence and through the Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Days 3

Delhi – Agra: By Surface: 220 Km 3 Hrs.

After breakfast, proceed to the next destination in a private AC car: Agra. A visitor to Agra is caught up in contrasting edifices of red sandstone and white marble, narrow galleys, and quaint buggies. This city still retains that inescapable charm of the Mughals. A stroll down the narrow, bustling streets of the city will acquaint you with the wafting aroma of Mughlai cuisine. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in and relax for a while.

In the afternoon, proceed to visit Agra Fort, which was built by Emperor Akbar and features a mixture of Islamic and Hindu styles of architecture. Next, visit Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb, nicknamed Baby Taj, another fine example of Mughal architecture. Overnight stay in Agra.

Days 4

Agra – Fathepursikri – Jaipur
(By Surface: 270 Km 5 Hrs)

Rise early to witness another highlight of the North India Tour Package with Jaisalmer. Your driver and guide will collect you from the hotel early in the morning to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise. The ethereal light and fewer tourists make this one of the best times to visit this beautiful monument. A silent battery van will take you up to the entrance, and once inside, you will be enthralled by the magnificence of this quite remarkable white marble building and its setting.

The Taj Mahal is a UNESCO Heritage Site, and the sun rises over it—undisputedly one of the world’s most beautiful buildings. In the soft morning light, as the mist rises from the Yamuna River, it seems to float like a mirage above the surrounding landscape. Built from dazzling marble, its colour changes from white to yellow, cream, and almost orange, an exquisite image that you’ll remember forever.

After a relaxed breakfast, drive to Jaipur, stopping en route to visit Fatehpur Sikri.  Fatehpur Sikri is a deserted, red sandstone City built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16th century.  A visit to this veritable fairytale city is an exhilarating experience, its ‘ruins’ in such pristine condition that it’s not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur. Marvel at the Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world built of red and buff sandstone and decorated by carving and inlaying of white and black marble.  Leave your guide here and continue by car to Jaipur.

En route, visit another hidden gem – Chand Baori (stepwell), which is located in the Abhaneri village. This stepwell was built by King Chanda somewhere in the 9th century and is one of the largest stepwells in the world. Here, you will witness 3,500 narrow steps arranged in perfect symmetry with 13 floors, making it the deepest stepwells.  After reaching Jaipur, you will be directly transferred to your hotel. Relax after checking in. In the evening, you can explore the local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, proceed for Jaipur sightseeing, visit Amber Fort, and route photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace). Its five-storey structure of sandstone plastered pink is encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows.

Continue your morning with the Amber Fort excursion, the ancient capital of Rajasthan and the majestic palace complex to witness a unique system of air-conditioning of the 17th century. Later proceed for a guided tour of Jaipur city, starting with the City Palace Museum, which boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures of the ancient past, miniature delicate paintings, preserved painted ceilings and the elephant saddles (haudas), and is registered in the Guinness Book of Records to contain the biggest silver objects in the world.

Conclude your day with a visit to Jantar Mantar, one of the famed observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh is a complex of astronomical instruments chiselled out of stone which provides fairly accurate information to this day. Overnight stay at the hotel.
